Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being. Its not only the absence of disease. A person is said to be healthy when he/she is free of any type of disease (infectious/deficiency), when he/she is mentally happy and healthy and when his/her social relationships are healthy in a society. Hence, to have a healthy life one has to be physically, mentally and socially complete.

An individual can do his regular work effectively with joy & pleasure, after the work is over he still has sufficient capacity to do more work without any exertion. Moreover, his recovery is faster & quicker. The person who remains energetic, enthusiastic & cheerful in doing his work is said to be physically fit. The level of physical fitness varies from person to person. It depends upon the nature of work, size, shape and structure.
